How to remove a fingernail at home?

No matter how you like your artificial nails, they will eventually lose their former splendor, and you will inevitably have to say goodbye to them.

Can I get rid of them myself without resorting to manicure salon services? Of course you can!

How to remove augmented nail

First of all you need to remember what your artificial marigolds are made of - acrylic or gel, since the way to remove them depends first of all on what material they are made of.

How to remove acrylic nails at home

Prepare the following materials and tools before starting work:

  • bottle with acrylic solvent (lacquer-removing liquid or technical acetone);
  • manicure set, which has tweezers, spatulas and nail files (nail files may require two - one coarse-grained, the other smaller);
  • packing of cotton balls or disks;
  • a roll of kitchen foil.

Operating procedure:

  1. Tweezers cut off the free ends of artificial nails.
  2. With a coarse-grained file, wipe off the finish of the nail surface, very durable and slippery.
  3. After you polish the entire finish gel,designed to protect acrylic from damage, proceed to soften acrylic on the fingers of one hand. For each nail, put a cotton ball or half of a cotton pad densely impregnated with a solvent, wrap the finger to the first phalanx with a piece of foil and twist the ends of the foil like a candy wrapper. The foil is needed so that the solvent does not evaporate.
  4. Approximately in half an hour alternately remove fromeach finger foil and remove from the nails a softened layer of acrylic. Scrape the acrylic with a manicure spatula and wash it with a swab impregnated with a solvent.
  5. In a similar way, remove the acrylic nails from the fingers of the second hand.

How to remove gel nails at home

The gel from which artificial nails are made is notdissolves by any household solvent. Therefore, it can only be removed mechanically from the living nails. Sand the gel nails layer by layer, first use a very hard coarse-grained nail file, then smaller and softer.
