What is LinkedIn?
Linkedin is a social network for professionals. From VKontakte and Classmates, it differs in that it is initially used to find work, establish professional contacts and obtain useful information: working advice, opinions about companies, etc.
Why is Linkedin useful?
Having learned what LinkedIn is and evenregistering in it, some simply add to the friends of colleagues and acquaintances and communicate with them only if necessary (or they do not communicate at all). However, in Linkedin you can also:
- receive interesting vacancies from various employers;
- receive useful professional advice and information, consisting of numerous groups relevant to your profession;
- to learn about work in these or those companies "from within", by contacting employees working in them;
- To monitor the vacancies of companies of interest to you by subscribing to their pages.
Linkedin is most often used by foreign recruiters to find employees, but in recent years our Human Resource (HR) has been actively searching for personnel through this social network.
More information about other existing social networks can be found in the Social Networks section.
