How to delete a network?
The computer remembers all networks to whichever connected. But what if the network is no longer needed for some reason? Then it can be removed to avoid clogging the settings with useless data and not to be confused with a long list of network connections. For information on how to delete a network, see this article. How to delete a wireless network
Most importantly - the removal of wireless networks,especially if you have a laptop and you have to travel a lot with it: then the settings store a lot of access points, which, most likely, will no longer have to connect a second time.
To delete the WiFi network in Windows 7/8, pressright-click on the network connection icon next to the clock and select "Network and Sharing Center". In the opened window, find the link "Manage wireless networks" on the right and click it.
A list of WiFi networks appears, to which thisthe computer has ever connected. Select an unnecessary network, right-click on it and command "Delete Network". Confirm the removal in the pop-up box - and done.
How to delete a local network
If you need to delete the wired LAN, all in the same window "Network and Sharing Center" click another link - "Change adapter settings".
Another window opens, in which theall wired connections. Select the network that you do not need, right-click on it and select "Delete", and then confirm your actions.
Keep in mind, if for some reason you want to delete the network to which you are currently connected, you must first disconnect from it - right-click and select "Disconnect".
How to remove a home network
In Windows 7/8, you can combineall the home computers into one network and allow them to see some folders of each other. This configuration is called a "home group". If, for some reason, you no longer need a homegroup, you can delete it. To do this, all computers must simply leave the homegroup - and it will cease to exist.
To exit the homegroup, in the already familiar "Network and Sharing Center" window, find and click the "Home Group" link. In the window that opens, click the link "Exit the home group".
A window with an update will appear. Select the option "Quit the home group" in it and click "Finish". Do the same operation on the other computers - and the homegroup will be deleted.
