Most modern Internet browsersallow you to open and close tabs in many ways. However, there are much more ways to close them. But most users do not know about them, and in vain, because perhaps one of them would be much more convenient, used now.

Close the tab

In each browser, the tab can be closed by pressing CTRL + F4 at the same time. The CTRL + W keys work in a similar way.

At the right edge of the tabs of any browser, you canfind an icon with a cross. Unless it's an Apple Safari browser in which it appears when you hover over the mouse. The tab closes after clicking this cross.

Close the browser tab by hovering over the tab label, and right-clicking. After these actions, a context menu opens, where there is a line "Close tab".

If you use a mouse in which there is a pushing wheel or middle button, then before you close the tab, you should point the mouse over it and click the middle button.

To close all tabs except active, you shouldin Opera, select the option: "Close all but active", while in Google Chrome - "Close tabs on the right". In other browsers, you need to hover the cursor to the active tab, right-click and click "Close other tabs".
