It is common knowledge that such flowers as irises perfectly reproduce. This process is vegetative. Most often, irises are transplanted when flowering has ended.

The beginning of autumn is considered the most favorablethe period when irises are transplanted. The end of August is also perfect. After the end of flowering iris is actively growing their root system. During this period, it is best to excavate the flowers and divide the nests into several parts.

Transplant irises should be done no earlier than3 to 4 years after planting. To tighten with this process as it is not necessary, otherwise because of a strong plexus of roots start to struggle with each other. This in the future will lead to the withering away of some parts of the plant due to the tightness of the rhizomes. Without transplanting this plant for a long time, it will also lose its aesthetic appearance. In the center of a huge bush, a dead empty zone is formed. A part of the rhizomes will be practically on the surface of the earth, as they will be displaced by other plants.

Each transplant should be combined with the reproduction of irises. After dividing the rhizome should be planted in the ground at a shallow depth of about 5 cm.
