How to connect the voltage regulator?

The cause of breakdown of household electrical appliances is oftenmay be a power surge in the network. Prevent these problems can be with the help of voltage stabilizers, which smooth out interference and distortion and protect the instrument from breakage. In this article, we will tell you how to connect the voltage regulator correctly using the example of the Resant device.

Where to install the stabilizer?

Installing the voltage regulator in the apartmentrequires a competent choice of placement. It is best to place the device in a pantry, if one is available. And without that it's not very good when an electric appliance of high power is "underfoot", and if children are in the apartment, it is generally dangerous.

In this case, it is important to note, the stabilizer is necessaryplace so that from its surface to the walls from all sides there are centimeters of 10 free spaces - this will ensure normal ventilation of the device and protect it from overheating. In addition, the material of the walls that surround the stabilizer should be non-combustible - bare concrete, brick, fiberglass, etc.

How to connect?

The stabilizer has three contacts for connection:

  • Phase-input
  • Phase-out
  • Zero

Contacts are marked, and therefore you are unlikely toconfused. On the "phase-input" contact of the stabilizer, the wire "phase" of the distributing machine (electric meter) is put in, and the phase of the load (the electrical appliance you want to protect against voltage surges) is connected to the "phase-out" contact, and zero is connected and to zero load, and to zero of the distribution automat (see figure).

Important! All connections are carried out with the power supply off - warn the neighbors on the site, switch off the distributor and only then proceed to the connection.
