How to connect the radiator correctly?

Warm private house, apartment competentlydesigned and adjusted heating system is easy, but you need to know how to do it, because improper installation of batteries increases the heat consumption. It is economically advantageous to place them under the windows - for effective heat exchange of cold and hot air. In this article, we'll figure out how to properly connect the radiator.
Radiator installation
In order to properly connect the radiator, you need:
- The old system is to dismantle, cut off unnecessary details.
- If necessary, lay a new pipeline.
- Wall up the walls. The distance from the radiator to the wall should be at least 2.5 cm, to the floor - at least 8 cm, to the window sill - more than 15 cm to reduce heat losses associated with heating the wall and floor.
- Brackets on which the battery will be installed, secure with dowels on the wall or in the wall itself, check the position using the level.
- On new pipes, make threading for the cranes (to stop the water supply) and jumpers (for moving water and uniform heating).
- To maintain the required room temperature, use special thermal heads.
Connection options
Before connecting the radiator, you need tobe aware that this is only an element of the whole system, so it is necessary to consider the way of laying the pipeline, whether to use stop valves, reinforced pipes or pipes made of polypropylene.
It is also necessary to determine the type of connection, because at the moment there are 5 ways to connect the radiators:
- one-way connection (water is fed through the upper nozzle, and is withdrawn through the lower one);
- Lower (water is fed and discharged through the lower chokes);
- sequential (the coolant circulates under pressure throughout the system);
- cross (when installing at least 12 sections of batteries);
- parallel (you need a built-in heat pipe).
