Puppies are born blind, so everyone thinks about when puppies open their eyes? Many owners, who have the first offspring of puppies, are hanging about this.

Most often pups begin to open their eyes from 10 -14 days after their birth. However, it can happen that this process may take a bit longer. This can be due to a number of reasons. It is possible that in the puppy, the process of opening the eyes was braked because of an infection that can be accompanied by a twinge of the eyes.

If the process of opening the eyes lasted until the 15thday, then most likely the puppy's eyes are "sour", so we advise you to soak the cotton disc with warm water and apply them to the puppy's eyes for about 3 to 5 minutes. This procedure is preferably repeated 2-3 times a day.

If puppies have their eyes still closed, howeverit became clear that they are pus or they are watery, then you will need to wipe a couple of times a day with boric acid. The solution should be done this way: dilute a teaspoon of boric acid to a glass of boiled water. You can also wipe with calendula infusion or tea.
