Why do we need poetry?
These rhyming lines, called poetry, probably, are known to everyone with the most "juvenile nails". In the kindergarten, children learn poems to read them for the holidays, the greatest poets of all time and people are studied at school, in youth and adulthood it is customary to congratulate each other in poetic forms: happy birthday, Merry Christmas, Victory Day and many others.
Why do people need poetry? The question is rather rhetorical. Lyrical poetry is the concentrated emotions and feelings that the poet spits out onto the reader or listener, forcing him to empathize. They say that in several poetic lines the real poet is able to express the entire surrounding world, breaking it through the prism of his own perception of reality. Therefore, for a writer, poetry is a means of self-expression, the expression of the creative principle, a splash of creative energy.
Good poems are like a balm for the soul and forthoughtful and sensitive reader. As the saying goes, that the reader can not express in words, then the poet will say for him. Maybe even unconsciously pick up the right rhymes and words, original rhythm and style. And the poems will sound like a melody.
Maybe that's why a certain mental connection, a symbiosis arises between the poet and the reader, without which neither the first nor the second could exist.
