What is an item?
The word "point" comes from the German word Punkt("point"), in the Russian language it has several values depending on the field of application. Let us consider in more detail what a point is, on several concrete examples.
- A list item is indicated by a bullet or numbered icon, one of the components of the list, for example: the first item, the second item, and so on.
- A checkpoint - a checkpoint - a place intended for monitoring the admission of visitors to the territory of a regime object (protected area, military unit, etc.).
- Settlement - the territory where people permanently reside, the unit of settlement of people within the land plot. Examples: village, village, urban type, city.
- VET - maintenance station - a place intended for maintenance of rolling stock.
- The command post is the location of the commander of the army, as well as the main part of the headquarters, equipped with communication facilities for controlling the battle.
- An astronomical point is a point on the surface of the planet Earth, for which astronomical observations determine the longitude, latitude and azimuth of the direction to the earth object.
- A printing station is a unit of measurement for the printing business.
