The authors of some books use a rather complexstyle. Other books are difficult to perceive because of their large volume. Sometimes, after reading a thick book, we find that there is almost no important information left in our heads. How to understand the book? To do this, you need not only to enjoy reading, but also to have useful ways of working with literature.

Let's find the list that we once compiledinteresting literature. To proceed to system reading should be slowly, gradually increasing the load. If there is no list, you can use the list of books from the school program. We are making a new plan. To make it a part of our life, we keep the plan in front of our eyes. Thus, gradually reading will first become our habit, and then the need. First, we switch to reading from prosaic cases. A beautifully designed list with control figures of dates and books read will stimulate us. We set a goal: to read, for example, to a certain period of a hundred books. We count successes, draw graphics, put birds.

We write to the local library, where wefind most of the books from the list. Choosing between reading on the computer and "live", we stop on the second option, in particular, proceeding from considerations of preservation of vision. To no longer ask myself the question of how to understand the book, we start a diary of reading. Reading a serious book, we write out information of this nature from it:

  • the goal that the author has set for himself;
  • the principles on which he relied in his life;
  • facts confirming adherence to these principles.

We should not be afraid of the immense size of our list - the more books we recycle in this way, the more we will develop the ability to perceive and understand the essence of what has been read.

How to understand the book, can prompt and comrade. Of course, we discuss the most interesting places of the book with friends. In order not to forget especially valuable thoughts and quotations, we periodically re-read the entries. We set a goal: to know something new, concrete. We draw up a plan again, but now we are adding books to it, revealing a narrow selected topic. Self-study sharpens abilities in understanding books and raises self-esteem.
