How do I set the start page?

Virtually every user has his ownfavorite pages from which to start surfing. This can be a site with exchange rates and news blocks, and a social network. In the browser, such a site can be added to the bookmarks, displayed on the Quick Launch bar, but it is much more convenient to simply set the start page in the settings. So, when the browser is loaded, the site will open automatically, which will save considerable time.

Mozilla Firefox

You can set the pages of the same Yandex or Google as the starting page in this browser:

1. launch the browser;
2. open the page you want to make the start page;
3. press the "Menu" button (upper right corner);
4. select the item "Settings";
5. go to the section "Basic";
6. press the button "Use the current page";
7. opposite the line "When you start Firefox:" click on the arrow and select "Show home page" in the drop-down list;
8. Click the "OK" button.

Google Chrome

In Google Chrome, this is done like this:

1. launch the browser;
2. press the "Menu" button (upper right corner);
3. select the item "Settings";
4. opposite the line "Next Page:" click the "add" link;
5. in the input field of the window that opens, we write the address of the page to be made the start page;
6. press the "OK" button twice.

Internet Explorer

To set the start page in this browser, you must:

1. Start the browser;
2. open the page you want to make the start page;
3. click the "Options" button;
4. select "Settings";
5. click the line "Configure" (section "Home pages");
6. click on the button "Add current site";
7. confirm with the "Add" button.

Opera

The procedure is simple and in the case of Opera:

1. launch the browser;
2. open the page you want to make the start page;
3. press the "Menu" button (top left corner);
4. we move the cursor to the "Settings" item;
5. select the line "General settings";
6. open the "Basic" tab;
7. we press the button "Current page";
8. opposite the line "At start:" click on the arrow, where in the drop-down list choose "Start from home page";
9. Click the "OK" button.

Safari

Here the start page is set like this:

1. launch the browser;
2. open the page you want to make the start page;
3. Press the keys "Cmd +" and "," on the keyboard;
4. go to the section "Basic";
5. click on the button "Current page".
