How can I increase my browser cache?

Sometimes the default size of the browser cache is not enough. About how to increase the cache memory of the browser, our article will tell.

In case the browser cache is small, the records from it will be deleted very quickly after the set memory limit is occupied. Consider the most popular browsers:

Increase the cache of Internet Explorer (IE)

  • Open the menu (it is indicated by the gear icon in the upper right corner of the browser window);
  • Go to "Internet Options";
  • On the General tab, find a section called View History;
  • Click in this section on the button labeled "Options" and set the value you need (it is specified in megabytes) in the window near the item with the inscription "Used disk space".

Increase the cache of the Mozilla Firefox browser

  • Go to the Menu;
  • Go to the tab called "Settings";
  • Go to the "Additional" tab;
  • In it, select the "Network" tab;
  • Now, check the box next to the item called "Disable automatic cache management";
  • Then set the size you need (it is set in megabytes), which will be used for the cache memory.

Increase the Opera browser cache

  • Go to the Menu;
  • Go to the tab called "Settings";
  • Find the "General Settings" tab, and in it select the "Advanced" tab;
  • Now in the side menu (it will be on the left) you need to select an item called "History";
  • Then, in the "Disk cache" section of this item, select the cache size you need from the drop-down list.

Increase the Safari Browser Cache

  • Click the Main Settings Menu icon (it is indicated by the gear icon in the upper right corner of the browser window);
  • Select an item called "Settings";
  • Now you need to go to the "Add-ons" tab, and in it in the field with the name "Default storage space for the database", change the value (it is set in megabytes) to the one that suits you.

Increase the cache of the Google Chrome browser

In the settings of this browser there is no functionincrease the size of the cache. This is done because the cache memory of Google Chrome is dynamic and expands automatically to as much as necessary. Therefore, you do not need to do anything.
