Папильотки: How to use?

Papillos are the ancestors of allmodern curlers. For curling hair hairpins were used by our great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers. Yes, yes, you did not misunderstand, it was the great-grandfather - in the nineteenth century, when curls were especially fashionable, they wound hair on curlers and representatives of the stronger sex. Let's consider more in detail what is a papillot and how to use it.

What is a hair clip

Papillot - small soft tubes,used for curling hair. Initially, the paper was made of paper. To fix a hair-pincer on the hair its edges were bent and twisted together. But these papilokki not always managed to securely fix, because the paper tips are easily cut off, so their design is slightly modified. In improved papillotkas, a strip of paper was wrapped around a woven ribbon, the ends of which were tied with a small bow. They were replaced by factory hairpins made of polyurethane or foam rubber.

Advantages of the hairpin before other hair curlers

  • Papillos, unlike ploices and hair dryers, do not burn your hair, so you can use them daily;
  • Papilots, unlike chemical perm, do not break the structure of the hair;
  • From hard curlers, the hairpieces differ in that they allow you to get more natural curls, without bends and kinks. In addition, the hairpins are soft, so you can sleep with them.

How to use a hair clip

  • On hairpins in principle, you can wind hair of any length, although the best results are obtained on long and medium-length hair;
  • For a full wave of hair, hairdressers are advised to purchase (or make) two dozen papillotoks, although only a dozen papillotics are enough to twist only the ends of the strands;
  • On the hairpins you can wind the strands to the roots or only to the middle of the hair - it all depends on what kind of hair you want to get as a result of their use;
  • Papilots must be wound only on freshly washed hair, dirty hair will not hold locks.

Instructions

  1. Wash your hair and dry it. Do not wind wet hair on the hairpins - in a tightly twisted state they just do not dry. Some manufacturers in the instruction to papilotkam advise to wind on them completely dry hair, but to do it all the same it is not necessary, as dry hair very badly "remember" the form. The best option for curling is slightly damp hair.
  2. Carefully brush damp hair, if you have a very "naughty" hair, apply a little styling (mousse or gel) on them and spread the hair along the entire length of the hair.
  3. Divide the hair into several large strands, use hairdresser's hair clips to separate them.
  4. Then separate the comb from them smaller onesstrands and alternately wind them on the hairpins. It is more convenient to do this starting from the forehead, then it is necessary to wind the temporal and occipital strands and strands on the vertex.
  5. The tip of each strand with your fingers is pressed tothe surface of the hairpin, stretch a lock of hair and with both hands slowly rotate the hairpin, tightly winding her hair to the desired length. At the same time, make sure that the tip of the string does not break out from under the turns of hair. When the hair is wrapped around the hairpin, fix it on the hair - tighten the ribbon with a bow or twist the flexible plastic ends together.
  6. For a good wave, keep the hair on your hair for at least four hours, if you are going to go to bed with them, put a hair net on your head or tie a thin kerchief.
