Turn on the built-in microphone

  1. We check the presence on the laptop of the built-in microphone through the device manager.
  2. Now go to the Start menu - Control Panel - Sound.
  3. In the window that opens, select the "Record" tab.
  4. In the device list, select the built-in microphone (it will be displayed in the list).
  5. Press the "Properties" button and see if the device is active.
  6. We find the item "Allow applications to use the device in exclusive mode" and set the highest sampling frequency.
  7. We find the item "Give priority to applications of exclusive mode" and set the highest bit capacity.
  8. Apply the changes.
  9. Check the level of sound transmission.

Connect an external microphone

  1. Plug the microphone into the round socket (socket) of the laptop, marked in pink.
  2. Double click on the "Volume" icon in the taskbar (at the bottom of the desktop on the right is the speaker icon).
  3. Go to the "Options" - "Properties".
  4. Put a tick next to the inscription "Microphone".
  5. We press the button "ok".
  6. Go to the "Options" - "Advanced options".
  7. We can see the button "Settings" appeared under the volume control of the microphone.
  8. Click on this button and put a check mark on "Microphone amplification".
  9. We press the button "ok".
