What is a touchpad? This is a kind of input device, this device looks like a small panel (usually rectangular, though there are also round ones) of a small size at the bottom of the notebook.

Its work is based on a fingerTouch-sensitive surface of the touchpad (the principle of operation is based on the measurement of capacitance). It will work correctly only if the contact plane is sufficiently large (that is, you do not need to drive a pencil on the touchpad).
