Preparation

  1. First of all, pay attention to the shelf life of the cereals. Depending on the storage period, you can spend more time preparing it.
  2. Soak porridge in cool water for 3-5 hours. But it is better to do this for the whole night - the croup will be better suited to heat treatment.
  3. After soaking the cereal after the required time, strain it through a colander. After that, pour it into a saucepan and add 1: 2 with water.
  4. Put the porridge with water on the fire, wait for the boiling and add salt to taste.
  5. Now, depending on how much the croup was stored, cook by eye. Porridge will be ready when it swells. This can take up to 1, 5 hours.
  6. When the croup begins to swell, try it. If it is boiled and there is not enough water in the pan, add more water and continue to cook until cooked.
