Before you go through the whole cycle of bath procedures -to steam with a broom, to make each other a pleasant massage, to put a mask on your face, you need to know how to heat a bath to heat the steam room to the desired temperature. Such a heater for most baths is a stove-heater, melt it with dry firewood. With all the existing variety of furnaces, they are heated approximately the same.

If you know how to do this, you canavoid many unpleasant consequences - heat stroke, carbon monoxide poisoning, and, finally, the fire itself. Let's consider the main points, observing which you can properly and safely melt the sauna heater. So, how to properly heat the bath.

  1. It is necessary to first open thefurnace door, a gate in the chimney. If two smoke flaps are provided in your furnace with a structure, then one opens through which the flames and smoke exit directly into the pipe, but not into the heating channel of the water boiler.
  2. We prepare dry chips, paper for kindling and several dry logs (4-5 pieces).
  3. On the furnace grate there are twolog, the distance between which should be of the order of 10 cm. Between the logs lie several sheets of crumpled paper, on top of which chips are poured. After that, the received "fuse" is fixed from above by two or three logs, having laid them obliquely. This construction should be made strong enough to not destroy it with careless movements.
  4. After ignition of paper, it is necessary to close quicklyThe furnace, as smoke can enter the room. If the wood is dry, and you have done everything right, then the stove will inflame quickly. It is strictly forbidden to melt the stove with flammable liquids (gasoline, kerosene). If the wood is damp and burns badly, then you can use dry alcohol tablets to kindle.
  5. In 15-20 minutes after the furnace has blazed, throw in it a few more logs. During the first hour, it is necessary to put new logs in the furnace, without waiting for the time when the old ones will be burned.
  6. After 1.5-2 hours, firewood can be thrown evenwhen there are only coals in the furnace, since the temperature in it will already be at a sufficient level. To warm up the steam room, usually in the summer it takes 2.5-3 hours, and in winter not less than 4 hours.

End of the firebox

  1. Make sure that the firewood is burnt out - coals of a reddish hue with a touch of ash of gray color, there are no blue flames.
  2. Open the door and the windows in the steam room.
  3. Give the stove, floor, ceiling, benches and walls with boiling water to wash away the soot.

Than to heat a bath

Best for a bath fit birch lime andbirch firewood. Try to choose the wood of young trees, since from it the strongest heat and the best flavor. When burning rotten and old firewood, the air in the bath will be heavy and with less oxygen. Quality wood, when struck, emits a sonorous and long sound.
