How to connect the pump correctly?
With the problem of how to properly connect the pump, more oftenthe owners of private houses in the cities, the residents of the countryside, and also the summer residents are all facing. This is primarily due to insufficient pressure and poor circulation of water in the heating system or weak water pressure in the water supply.
Eliminate such inconvenience by installing a circulation pump or pump station.
How to connect the circulation pump
In the heating system, the circulation pumpis established if the natural circulation of the heat carrier - heated water - does not ensure a uniform supply of heat to all home heaters. For this you need:
- Choose a location for mounting the pump. Most often, the pump is put on a return pipe, through which the cooled water returns to the boiler. This ensures a better filling of the tank with water, prevents formation of an air gap in it and air ingress into the system.
- It is better to put the pump on the bypass - bypass pipe,going parallel to the main one. This will make it possible to use, if necessary, a natural circulation of the coolant. Before the pump and after it put the stop ball valves. When they overlap, water will go naturally through the main pipe. On the main pipe, a tap is also placed between the output and bypasses of the bypass. If you close it, the coolant will go through the bypass and the circulation pump.
- Before installing the pump, you must install a coarse water filter.
- Do not forget about a little trick - the pump shaftShould be located horizontally and when the system is filled with water, it must be completely in it. The vertical location of the pump shaft reduces its performance.
- Ensure that the pump is connected to the mains by a cable from the junction box or machine. Be sure to ground the appliance.
How to connect the pump station correctly
Installation of the pump station, which increases the pressure in the water pipe, is technically similar to the installation of a circulation pump. Note here only the differences:
- pumping station is placed as close to the water source;
- is mounted not on the bypass, but on the main pipe;
- Before the pumping station a special screen filter is placed.
